About PRACH

PRACH (Physical Random Access Channel) is used by UEs to initiate random access procedures for initial access, handover, and uplink synchronization.

Key parameters:

  • Preamble format: Sequence length and duration
  • Configuration index: Time-domain occasion pattern
  • Root sequence: Zadoff-Chu sequence starting point
  • Cyclic shift: Number of preambles per root
  • Restricted set: For high-speed mobility
